Consignment & Donations
The Key accepts clean, neat, gently used or new seasonal clothing/footwear, purses, hats, jewelry, and accessories. And housewares which must be clean and small appliances and lamps that work. We will also accept small furniture and rugs.
Click below for a list of the types of items that are accepted and not accepted. As outlined on the consignment sheet, The Key retains the right to discard any consignment items that are not in acceptable condition, without notifying the consignor.

Liability Release
The Key is not responsible for damage or injury to persons or property
from items purchased at The Key. Should the store be forced to close, we will inform consignors of dates/times when they can pick-up their consignments after which time the merchandise will become the property of The Key.

Consignments
Consignors will be paid 40% of the price of each item up to 60 days. After 61 days, the merchandise becomes the property of The Key. Seasonal merchandise is subject to price reductions regardless of when it is brought in for consignment. The 60 days begins when the merchandise is priced and placed on the sales floor. We will be happy to look up your account to give you a item and account status update. A copy of your consignment sheet will be made upon request to help you keep track of your items. The Key is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen consigned items.
Our Payout Policy
Payouts are made every 5-6 weeks by checks that are mailed to the account holder's address. Payouts will be held until the consignor's balance reaches $21. We no longer require stamped envelopes, but will subtract $1 from the payout to cover for postage.

Donations
Donated items in consignment condition and seasonable are greatly appreciated! Please drop
off clean, quality sellable items during business hours. We will provide you
with a tax-deductible receipt upon request. We very much appreciate your generosity and willingness to support The Key and our ability to provide grants to organizations such as Vera House and Caz Cares with our revenues. We will take clean rugs and
small furniture, mirrors and other items in addition to housewares and clothing.
